Get a Room Interiors
Best of Howard- Interior Decorator of the Year 2021 and 2023!!!

In 2004, I took Oprah’s advice and turned my passion into a profession. Ever since, I’ve been decorating the houses of Howard County, MD (when I’m not at tennis, pickleball, the gym or physical therapy haha). I’ve been very fortunate that my love and knowledge of paint colors and construction projects has kept my calendar packed (except for summers when I escape to the beach and “work” remotely).

Several years ago I was lucky enough to cross paths with Jen on a project and we instantly hit it off. She asked me to be her HoCo designer and we never looked back. Working on Coo Coo’s projects has certainly been a highlight of my career as nothing is more rewarding than seeing beautiful, high-quality cabinet painting that saves homeowners the expense and mess of full demos. I’m honored she chose me and hope we have many more years beautifying our county.

In 2021, I was named “Best of Howard” Magazine in the Interior Decorator Design category. (Jen made me include this.)

Many things change, but my motto never will: Life’s too short to live in a house that sucks.

Carpenter Extraordinaire

In 2018 I made the decision to transition from a 10 year career in the fire service to working with a general contractor remodeling homes. Soon after, I branched out on my own and met Jen Maloni and The Coo Coo's Nest team.  We immediately connected and shared a strong work ethic with a Do What it Takes attitude.  We are also two women owned businesses in a primarily male profession.

I’ve had the pleasure of partnering with Jen and Ellen Virden of Get a Room Interiors in the last few years. I focus on trim carpentry and general home improvements prior to cabinet and trim painting by The Coo Coo’s Nest. I'm your Gal to trim out your island, add board and batten or wainscoting, create an accent wall or those carpentry projects that may be outside of the box.  I enjoy the custom work and attention to detail required in trim carpentry projects. When not swinging a hammer, you can find me racing bikes in the woods or on gravel or spending time in the mountains with my fiancé and trail pup!
